In the aftermath of any disaster, the most pressing issue is the return to normal operations. We stand ready to mobilize our staff to establish and manage emergency operations centers in response to any emergency or unforeseen condition. Our team of inspectors, environmental specialists, engineers, and planners perform immediate risk assessment and asset inventory, and use that information to develop facility restoration programs and community reconstruction zone plans. We have the expertise to guide clients through FEMA and other government reimbursement processes.
We have provided an extensive range of disaster recovery and resiliency planning services in response to Superstorm Sandy and Hurricane Irene, as well as infrastructure coordination services. We have successfully directed hundreds of emergency response projects for public schools and housing complexes, working under strict deadlines.
HaD has been under contract since 2013 with the New York City Build it Back program and anticipates additional contracts with other public agencies. The mission of the Build it Back program is to restore hurricane-damaged homes to full functionality and greater resilience to extreme climate conditions. Under this contract, HaD has completed scoping for the rehabilitation of more than 800 homes in New York City. Additional contracts are expected to expand this work to include rehabilitation, elevation, and reconstruction of thousands of homes in the coastal areas of New York City and Long Island, the goal being that living areas and essential building systems be better protected from future floods.

HaD’s Survey division is a leading provider of high volume site surveys for building conditions, data and development viability. Our team utilizes proprietary technology and tools to maintain accurate high volume site evaluations with unique 3DVR photography worldwide.
HaD’s diversely skilled as-built and data collection experts work with the architectural and construction division(s) to ensure accurate and thorough site information is gathered and properly evaluated. This supplemental review and insight ensures detailed quality information for our clients. Supporting an Integrated Project Deliveryapproach this service can be combined into HaD’s other service lines to provide a comprehensive site or program solution. Effective facility assessment begins with choosing the right technology. The core of HaD’s unique surveying technology offerings is its Laser2CAD system. It is a real-time measurement system that measures facilities with 100% accuracy. An experienced HaD’s surveyor using Laser2CAD can deliver accurate survey drawings from the field to an in-house architectural team without disrupting day-to-day activities, while taking significantly less time than a traditional surveyor and eliminating human error.

HaD’s 3DVR photographic technology allows full 360-degree surround viewing of interior and exterior spaces. 3DVR photos are embedded into the as-built plans which allow clients to view any area in 3D. HaD’s 3DVR photographic surveys combine 360 degree photographs with Laser2CAD drawings, PDF files or existing CAD/PDF files supplied by the client. Our 3DVR pictures are object-linked directly to the CAD or PDF file allowing any room or space, interior or exterior, to be viewed within a full high resolution 360 degree axis.
